May Spiritual Challenge: 31 Days of Being Thankful

May Spiritual Challenge: 31 Days of Being Thankful Thankful

It’s Thankful Thursday! It’s also May 1, so it’s time to roll out the challenges for this month. I’ve decided to combine the concepts and challenge you to 31 days of being thankful!

Every day, I’d like you to think of something for which you are thankful. I will be posting what I am thankful for every day on Facebook, so if you have an account, please “like” my page so we can encourage each other.

If you are a blogger, I’ll give you an extra challenge – incorporate 31 Days of Being Thankful into your blog and link back to this post. You can also link up to Thankful Thursday.

Thankful Thursday

On this first day of May, I am thankful that it’s May! We sure had our share of April showers and not so warm spring weather last month, so I’m ready for the May flowers! Flowers just make me happy!

Azalea Bloom

I love how this azalea bloom is gorgeous, but slightly imperfect.

Cherry Blossom Snow

I love the coating of cherry blossom “snow” all over my backyard

Start your 31 days of being thankful by commenting below on what you are thankful for today. Then, follow me on Facebook to log the rest of the days. Share this challenge with your friends. Encourage them to participate.

Let’s focus on the positive and start a culture of thankfulness this month.

What a lovely idea this is. We all seem to forget some of the things we take advantage of everyday which God has provided us. Thanks for linking up to the Bloggers Brags Pinterest Party. I’ve pinned your post to the Bloggers Brags Pinterest Board.

I agree wholeheartedly. I read something on Pinterest that said “Somewhere, someone is praying for something you take for granted.” Really makes you think. It’s a humbling thought.

I started what I call my Blessing Book and I have recorded so many things that I have been thankful for over the years. It is fun to go back over them and read them again. Blogging has been fun and I enjoy meeting new women, but at times my old journals seem more real then my virtual friends do. FB Pinterest, you get my drift. Well I am happy to be saved and have so many blessings to be thankful for!

This is a wonderful challenge! A habit we should all work to cultivate. Today I’m thankful for the sunshine and being able to work in my garden.

We have the cherry blossom “snow” at my house, too! I love watching it swirl across the street each time a car drives by….
hmmm….I am grateful for….being able to take pictures on my phone and keep them so close to me all the time!

Beautiful flowers! We’re still stuck in the “April showers” here in Chicago but I think the blooms are just around the corner! Love your 31 days of being thankful idea :) There really is so much to be thankful for!

I, too, am happy that May is here with it’s azaleas, dogwood, and lilacs. I am thankful not to have had to wear a sweater AND heavy jacket to work this morning and I’m thankful for the sun that’s trying with all its might to break through the clouds here this morning.

What do you think? We'd love to hear your comments!
