An Amazon Guide to Physical, Environmental, and Spiritual Wellness Shopping

Amazon Guide to Physical, Environmental, and Spiritual Wellness Shopping

Christmas shopping is in full swing so I thought I’d help everyone by giving them a list of some of my favorite items on Amazon. Use these links and I’ll get a small commission. It’s how I keep the blog going. It will be your Christmas present to me! But, that’s not why I refer these products. I refer them because I feel they exemplify the physical, environmental, ans spiritual wellness goals of The Wellness Wife. In most cases, I use them myself!

10 Minute Solution: Pilates: My favorite pilates workout. It’s divided into 10-minute sets, so even the busiest person can sneak in a workout. Combine all five workouts for a great 50-minute total-body workout.

Aladdin 3 Collapsible Bowl Set: The perfect gift for college students, people with small kitchens, or anyone who is trying to replace their old containers with BPA-free ones. I keep these in my car and bring restaurant leftovers home in them to help reduce the amount of  foam and plastic takeout containers in landfills.

Baron Baptiste’s Foundations of Power Vinyasa Yoga: The only yoga practice I’ve ever enjoyed. I just love listening to Baron Baptiste talk and his instruction is so clear. I highly recommend it for anyone who is interested in yoga but is a little hesitant to get started. Contains 90 minutes of instruction, but it’s chaptered so you can do as much or as little as you like.

The Eagle Maker: God’s Grace During Job Transition: Losing a job, having to change careers, or being unable to find employment is a life crisis. Draw upon your faith and God’s unfailing love through the pages of this beautiful devotional. The holidays are a difficult time for the unemployed or underemployed. Give this gift to lift their spirits.

GreenPan: A lot of fuss has been made about the safety of your cookware. Believe the hype. GreenPan is one of the best on the market and is affordable! It’s ceramic, so there’s none of the chipping or flaking that you get with the dangerous Teflon. It’s also free of Perfluorooctanoic Acid (PFOA), which is the biggest culprit in toxic cookware. Buy a full set or individual pans. The 8-inch pan is on sale right now for only $19.99, so it’s affordable gift that makes you look like you spent a ton of money! It’s the last pan they’ll ever need!

Grouches Are Green: The residents of Sesame Street teach toddlers about recycling, repurposing, and reusing in this adorable board book. Follow the link to read my full review on Grouches are Green.

Hamilton Beach Personal Blender with Travel Lid: This was one of the best, most thoughtful gifts I’ve received. I like to make smoothies for breakfast (I’m just too frugal to join the juicing craze). But, who wants to lug out the big ol’ blender every morning? Enter the Hamilton Beach Personal Blender. It even has a travel lid so I can take it with me if I’m running late for work! You can even give the recipient of this gift a smoothie recipe from The Wellness Wife to go with it.

Make Life Work: A Caregivers Inspirational Journal: 30 Days in H.I.M.: This 30-day guide provides hope, illumination, and motivation to any caregiver. Show the caregiver in your life that you care and appreciate all they do by presenting them with this book.

Misto Olive Oil Sprayer: One of the coolest kitchen gadgets around. Put pure olive oil in the Misto and spray anything you would normally spray with Pam. Why wouldn’t you just use Pam, you ask? Because it contains propellant. I don’t know about you, but I’m not interested in having propellant in my food. Neither are your friends and family, so buy them a Misto!

The Story: The Bible as One Continuing Story of God and His People: A condensed version of the Bible. I have been encouraging my readers to read The Story with me – one chapter a week. I blog on the current chapter every week (I’ve been on hiatus the past two weeks, but will be back soon!). We also have a Facebook group called Read “The Story” with The Wellness Wife. We’re only on the story of King David right now, so it’s easy to catch up if you purchase this for yourself or as a gift.

Straight from the Heart and Spirit of a Mother: An expression of a mother’s love to not only her daughters but to all women today. Recognizing society’s fascination with entertainment and materialism, L.K. Alexander-Bedford wrote the book to encourage, inspire, spiritually elevate, and empower women with the kind of power that only comes from God. No better time than Christmas to give a devotional that brings our hearts and minds away from materialism and back to a Christ-centered focus.

Thomas Kincaid Throw: A Peaceful Retreat: Beautiful image illustrates Isaiah 32:18 perfectly : “And my people shall dwell in a peaceable habitation, and in sure dwellings, and in quiet resting places.” The perfect way to stay warm and reflect on God’s promise to His people. Read my personal reflection on Isaiah 32:18.

Zoya Nail Polish: Makes a great stocking stuffer. It’s vegan and free of harmful chemicals such as formaldehyde, doetoluene, and dibutyl phthalate (DBP). It’s super long-wearing. On a pedicure, your nails will literally grow out before the paint chips. For the person on your list who is obsessed with trendy nailwear check out the Winter Holiday – 2014 Collection shown above.
